I am the one behind the camera when you book with Desert Pearl Photography. Born in Imperial Beach CA and transplanted in El Paso TX, I innately have the love of salty breezes and crashing waves, but have also come to appreciate the vastness of the desert. My husband and I officially committed to Carlsbad NM in 2023 when we bought our first house. We have a son who is our whole world and who is watched by our 3 puppies and heaven babies and who is absolutely treasured by all who meet him. Since I was little, traveling with my grandparents to different states across the nation, I had the knack of living in the moment. Even more so since becoming a mama in 2023, I am captivated about the raw and unfiltered emotions in these fundamental moments of life. One of my first tattoos was a quote my papa wrote to me on one of my high school graduation cards, "Nothing is impossible." At first it was just meant to be encouraging writing on a card, but time after time it manifested itself during my life's hardest moments, where it officially became the motto of my life.
As I continue to learn that life is not meant to be perfect or pretty or predictable, it is delicate, it is a gift and it is meant to be treasured. In my life, my greatest pains have become my greatest strengths and as I stand behind my camera facing you, my commitment is to capture the pain and beauty that makes you, you! That all that you have endured proves you are resilient and are meant to be exactly where you are. In the moments that we are celebrating your existence, I hope to remind you that everything is possible, and it is through your own willing desire and determination that you made it to this very moment.
